Why Narcan Training Matters

Opioid overdoses remain a major public health crisis, and Narcan (naloxone) is a proven, easy-to-use medication that can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes. By learning how to administer Narcan, you can be prepared to act swiftly in an emergency, potentially saving a life.

• Cost: Free and open to the public

• Provided: Free Narcan kits and educational materials

During this event, you’ll receive hands-on training from Amy Wheat, Snohomish County’s Opioid Outreach Specialist. Whether you’re personally impacted by substance use, a concerned community member, or a healthcare provider, this training equips you with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to an overdose.

What You’ll Learn

• Recognizing the signs of an opioid overdose

• Proper administration of Narcan

• Steps to take after administering Narcan

• Understanding resources available for ongoing support and recovery

Join us for our heartwarming event, "Warm Hearts, Full Backpacks," where we come together as a community to provide warmth and essentials to those in need.

• Backpack Filling: Be a part of the action as we load backpacks with essential items, including warm clothing, blankets, hygiene products, and more. Your contribution, big or small, will make a significant impact.
