Recovery Advocacy Day 2024

Recovery Advocacy Day (RAD) is the Washington Recovery Alliance's annual citizen action event, where we bring together hundreds of people in the recovery community from across the state to engage their lawmakers in conversations about legislative changes that would improve our behavioral health system. We concentrate our community’s power to advocate for things like recovery coaching, employment supports, behavioral health workforce development, and peer support services.

DATE: Thursday, January 25th, 2024

TIME: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

WHERE: Temple Beth Hatfiloh, 201 8th Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501

The day will include:

  • Meeting with your lawmakers to share your story and advocate for pro-recovery policy change

  • Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided throughout the day

  • Opportunities to connect with recovery advocates from across our state

  • Recovery in Action activities, such as an interactive art booth, card writing station, overdose prevention & response training with free naloxone, and more!

Registration is *required* for this event. Once you complete this form, the WRA will arrange meetings with your state lawmakers on your behalf. We schedule these meetings by Legislative District using the address you list on registration. If you are unsure which Legislative District you are in, please use the link HERE to check. Virtual Elevate Recovery Advocacy Training

On January 11 from 1-3 pm, the Washington Recovery Alliance will be hosting a free virtual Elevate Recovery Advocacy Training session.

This 2-hour training will teach participants how to share their behavioral health recovery story, learn more about legislative advocacy, and discuss the 2024 policy priorities that the WRA will advocate for at Recovery Advocacy Day and throughout the next legislative session.
